Benjamin Arold (CLE) wins "Fürther Ludwig Erhard Prize 2023" for his Dissertation

On September 18, Benjamin Arold, postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Law & Economics (CLE), won the "Fürther Ludwig Erhard Prize 2023". Since 2003, this prize has been awarded to recently graduated scientists, whose dissertations are innovative and relevant for the economy, society, and the environment.

In his dissertation external pageSchool Curricula, Educational Trajectories, and Labor Market Outcomes conducted at LMU Munich, Benjamin Arold provides empirical evidence that school curricula have a considerable influence on crucial choices of students in their adulthood. He won the "Fürther Ludwig Erhard Prize 2023" because of the important insights his thesis provides to the parties in charge of the education system, as well as to society as a whole. Already at the beginning of the year, his dissertation had been chosen as the "Best Dissertation in Economics of Education 2021/2022" by the Economics of Education Committee of the Verein für Sozialpolitik (German Economic Association)
