Biography
Alessandro Tacconelli is a Ph.D. Candidate in Law & Economics. Alessandro holds an Italian Law Degree (Integrated Master of Arts in Law) from Bocconi University (2018) and a Master of Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania (2022). Prior to joining ETH, Alessandro gained both academic and professional experience, working as a Teaching Assistant for two graduate courses at the University of Pennsylvania and as a trainee corporate lawyer in leading law firms in Milan.
Research Overview
Alessandro’s research focuses on behavioral and experimental law & economics. His interests lie at the intersection between legal studies and behavioral science and how to employ experimental methods in legal research. More specifically, Alessandro investigates the interactions between legal and social norms and how those shape human behavior, trying to disentangle the factors influencing human decisions to abide by or violate (legal) rules.
