In general, we are always looking for excellent researchers at the doctoral and the postdoc level.
Researchers with expertise in economics and data science and an interest in legal applications should contact Prof. Elliott Ash. Candidates from economics should have an interest in law, causal inference research design, high-dimensional econometrics, and the use of text datasets. Candidates from data science should have an interest in law, social science, natural language processing, and machine learning. All candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in interdisciplinary research in law & economics.
Candidates who are interested in conducting experimental research with applications to law should contact Prof. Alexander Stremitzer. We are also looking for researchers in Law & Tech. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in law and at least one other discipline (e.g., economics, philosophy, political sciences, computer science, psychology, physics, etc.).
Researchers with an interest in {intellectual property, Internet , privacy, telecommunications, antitrust law, law & technology, OR judicial decision-making} AND {law & economics as a research methodology} should contact Prof. Stefan Bechtold. All candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in interdisciplinary research in law & economics (using theoretical, empirical or experimental approaches).
