Malka Guillot joining CLE
We are happy to announce that Malka Guillot has joined our team at the Center for Law & Economics, working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Law, Economics, and Data Science Group.
Malka earned a PhD in Economics from Paris School of Economics as of May 2018 (supervisors: Thomas Piketty and Antoine Bozio). Her research is on empirical public finance, with a focus on behavioral responses to tax reforms among firms and workers. This work relies on administrative microdata for the universe of French firms, and machine learning tools for simulating individualized counterfactual outcomes in the French tax-and-benefit system. At CLE, Malka plans to push forward this research agenda with empirical research on the political determinants and economic consequences of tax law complexity, in France and in the United States.
